Claire Krauss
Designer
With three years of experience in the architecture industry, I bring a strong creative foundation shaped by a lifelong passion for art and design. Originally from Northern California, my early interests ranged from painting to glassblowing, eventually finding their focus in model making during high school. After moving to Idaho, I earned both my Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Idaho.
At Hillside Architecture, I focus on renderings, digital modeling, and refining the finishing touches of construction document sets. I enjoy the variety of projects I get to work on and the unique team dynamic that forms with each one. Since starting as an intern, some of my favorite highlights have included creating renderings for long-term projects and designing the company’s holiday cards.
As designers, I believe we have the privilege of shaping how people move and feel within their environments—crafting both the spaces they inhabit and the backdrop to their daily lives. My architectural thesis explored the design and structural implications of crochet, reflecting my ongoing interest in blending artistry and form.
